INCOG is seeking to amend the FFY 2010 Transportation Improvement Program to add projects to the Recreational Trails, Bridge, Surface Transportation, and National Highway System programs.  The projects include a recreational trail in Bently Park in Bixby, preliminary construction work for a bridge over the Verdigris on SH-66, and preliminary construction work for a bridge over Euchee Creek on US64.  The total federal funds are $993,560 and the total local match is $30,890.  Project details are included in the attachment.  These projects are consistent with the Regional Transportation Plan, Destination 2030.  The Transportation Technical Committee reviewed these amendments and recommended approval.

 

4. ARRA Project Selection Process pdf

 

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) has notified INCOG of the potential availability of residual American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds for the Tulsa Transportation Management Area.  Based on ODOT’s bids through September and estimates for projects to be bid in November and early 2010, INCOG estimates that approximately $2.5 million or more in unobligated funds will be available.  These funds must be authorized by the Federal Highway Administration before March 2, 2010 or the funds will be rescinded and redistributed according to the law.  The Transportation Technical Committee reviewed proposed criteria for selecting projects and recommended approval.
